White River Squirt Spots
more like possible squirt spots, for most of these
To find confluence seams in dynamic equilibrium:
eel-white: have bowling green somewhat near spencer in cfs - best water quality of the three
east-west: have shoals and edwardsport match cfs
white-wabash: have hazleton and vincennes match cfs

Wabash Whitewater
Kellys Ripple (White River)
something on the White, about a mile upstream of the Wabash
close access on river left, but river right downstream, S. White River Rd, is probably safest regarding property
see Hazleton gauge, above
Grand Rapids
See vincennes, above
Oct 13 noon vincennes 2.80 ft 2580 cfs - mildly amusing, but too low.
Much higher will wash out. Probably want 4000 - 6000 cfs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanging_Rock_(Wabash_River) is just upstream, Illinois side
Old Dam
new harmony https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/03378500 - probably want 5000-10,000 cfs
Oct 13, 2023 3pm new harmony 0.75 ft 3960 cfs - not bad, but too low
Mar 12, 2017 2pm new harmony 11.12 ft 50100 cfs - way flooded over
If this was filmed the week before posting, it shows Old Dam around 7500 -8000 cfs.
If this was filmed the week or two prior to posting, it shows Old Dam around 6000-7000 cfs:
If this was filmed the week or two prior to posting, it shows Old Dam around 8000-11000 cfs:
Hard to tell from the gauge without a more specific date, but I will suppose that around 10000cfs is the upper level.

Grand Chain
See New Harmony for gauge. Probably want whatever is good for Old Dam.
2hr 20 min south of Bloomington
about 6 miles downstream of New Harmony
accessible by Grand Chain Road, or similar, with up to 100 yd walk
has a crisp eddy line off of beach on river right. beach has 4x4 access for sand play
not far downstream is a railroad bridge, which has river access. Here starts a very long set of swirlies.

Little Chain
Just downstream of the Grand Chain, after Dogtown Hills, are Little Chain Hills.
