See New Harmony for gauge. Probably want whatever is good for Old Dam.
2hr 20 min south of Bloomington
about 6 miles downstream of New Harmony
accessible by Grand Chain Road, or similar, with up to 100 yd walk
has a crisp eddy line off of beach on river right. beach has 4x4 access for sand play
not far downstream is a railroad bridge, which has river access. Here starts a very long set of swirlies.
Just downstream of the Grand Chain, after Dogtown Hills, are Little Chain Hills.
Probably want whatever is good for Old Dam.
There are swirlies at Little Chain at the big bend above Wabash River Memorial Bridge
